佛光會的手印
佛光會員見面時，以兩個手印來相互祈福。
BLIA MUDRA
BLIA members use two forms of mudra or hand gesture when they greet each other.
第一個手印是見面時，手掌外翻，用拇指扣住中指，其他三指翹起（如圖所示）。
這個手印有如下意義：
無限的歡迎：兩隻手向外翻出，代表接受對方、歡迎對方
無我的接納：在這個手印中，我們翻出兩掌，是代表著開放自己，不再以自我為中心，完全接納整個世間的一切。
無上的接引：兩手都翻掌代表無上的接引，是希望我們相互之間能學習阿彌陀佛，接引無量眾生到達無上清淨的佛國、成就圓滿的佛道，讓所有眾生安養、快樂，使大家共成佛果。
無礙的交映：每個人都是兩手翻掌，代表無限的歡迎、無我的接納、無上的接引，而且將我們心中的無量光明，交互著照耀。
無染的清淨：我們以拇指扣住中指，除了代表接引之外，同時在佛教裡面也代表「蓮花」之意，兩隻手翻掌是代表蓮花的開放，蓮花的盛開是無染的清淨。
The first mudra is formed by placing the palm outward with the middle finger touching the thumb. The mudra symbolizes the following:
Infinite welcome: With both hands facing outward, we accept and welcome the other party.
Selfless acceptance: With both palms facing outward, we let go of our ego and accept all about the world around us.
Unsurpassed receiving: With both palms facing outward, we hope to learn from Amitabha Buddha’s receiving of innumerable sentient beings to a pure land with joy and abidance, attaining the Buddha path.
Unhindered reflection: With both palms facing outward, we reflect our innate light on others for mutual support.
Undefiled purity: With our middle finger touching the thumb, our gesture is an embodiment of warm reception and also a symbol of the untainted purity of a lotus blossom.
第二個手印是將雙手合十，中間保留些微的空隙。佛教中這是「蓮花合掌」手印（如圖所示）。
佛光會員用這個手印表示：
無二的圓融：這兩隻手合成一朵蓮花，就像《金剛經》所講的「一合相」一樣，是代表整個二諦的圓融，代表整個佛法的無礙，代表不再有真俗二諦的差別。
無量的信心：我們雙手合十，不再有異心，而且是合十在心之前，心手相映、心口相映、心聲相映，相映於對無上佛道的欣求。
無異的正見：雙手合十，兩眼正視對方，代表佛光會員能綜觀整個宇宙中的真理，能相互了解。
無生的法性：我們的「蓮花合掌」做尚未完全綻放狀，代表整個佛性本然具足，代表有覺悟世間一切的力量，也是代表整個宇宙無生的根本道理。
無滅的佛道：身為一個佛光會員，就要使佛法常住不滅。所以「蓮花合掌」也是代表一種永恆的信心、永恆行道者的形象。
The second mudra involves the joining of both palms, with a subtle space left in between. In Buddhism, it is a symbol of a lotus flower. However, in BLIA, it has the following significance:
Non-dualistic harmony: Both hands forming a lotus flower represent “the form of oneness” as discoursed in the Diamond Sutra. It represents the harmony of two truths, the freedom of the Dharma, and the impartiality between mundane and supra-mundane truth.
Boundless confidence: Our joined palms symbolize the absence of mental discrimination. Our palms are close to our hearts, allowing action, speech, and mind, symbolizing our joyful pursuit on the Buddha path.
Unchanging right views: Joined palms and direct eye contact with another person symbolize the perception of universal truth and mutual understanding among members.
Non-arising Dharma nature: The gesture of a lotus flower yet to blossom in its entirety represents our Buddha nature and the intrinsic wholeness enabling us to grasp the universal truth.
Non-ceasing path: As members of BLIA, we should strive unremittingly for the Dharma. The lotus joined palms project the image of a long-term practitioner and a lasting faith.BLIA members use two forms of mudra or hand gesture when they greet each other.
