2024 BLIA Oceania Fellowship Conference & Nan Tien Temple 30th Anniversary Commemoration General Guidelines

I. Objective: To promote the fellowship of BLIA members in the Oceania region and commemorate the 30th anniversary of Nan Tien Temple.

II. Organiser: Buddha’s Light International Association World Headquarter

III. Organising Committee: Buddha’s Light International Association Sydney Chapter

IV. Dates: September 21 ~ 22, 2024 (Sat. ~ Sun.):

• 21/09 (Sat.) 2:00 PM: Registration, Welcome Banquet, President's Keynote Speech, Accommodation.

• 22/09 (Sun.): Opening Ceremony and Benefactors Meeting, Nan Tien Temple’s 30th Anniversary series of events, Taking Refuge and Five Precepts& Bodhisattva Precepts Ceremony.

V. Venue: Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Temple

VI. Participants: All Associations, Subchapters, Guiding Venerables (Chapter Elder Advisor, President, Committee Members, Members)

VII. Fee: 

1. Oceania Conference + overnight accommodation:
   a. Register and pay by March 31, 2024: AU$450/person
   b. Register and pay by April 30, 2024: AU$500/person
   c. Register and pay after May 31, 2024: AU$550/person
   * The Fee includes one-night accommodation on September 21~22, transportation, and meals. (Personal expenses are not included).
   * For those requiring a single room, an additional charge of AU$150 / night is applicable.

2. Oceania Conference only (no overnight accommodation needed):
   a. Register and pay by March 31, 2024: AU$300/person
   b. Register and pay after April 30, 2024: AU$350/person
   c. Register and pay after May 31, 2024: AU$400/person

3. For those who need transportation and accommodation arrangements for early arrival or late departure (at own expense), please register with the organising committee, BLIA Sydney Chapter in advance to facilitate smooth proceedings.

4. Once registration have been completed, there will be no refund for cancellation.

5. Local associations are to collect and submit the conference fees in a lump sum to the organizing committee.

VIII. Registration Procedure:

1. Registration Dates: From now to 30 June 2024

2. Registration Method: Online registration at https://signup.blia.org.tw/login.aspx

3. Transportation Information: Shuttle services will be provided only on September 21~22, connecting Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport to and from The International Convention Centre (ICC Sydney)-Pyrmont Theatre and Nan Tien Temple.

4. After confirming your flights, we kindly request each association to complete the flight information online before August 15th, to facilitate the conference transportation arrangements.

1. 1. Check-in Time: September 21st (Saturday), from 14:00 to 16:00.

   2. Check-in Venue: The International Convention Centre (ICC Sydney)-Pyrmont Theatre

   3. Accommodation: Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Temple & major hotels nearby

XI. Delegates please note:

1. 1. The Oceania Conference welcomes sponsorship from BLIA and individual members. Please refer to the sponsorship details (Attachment 3).

   2. Please bring the Chapter Flag of your respective regions. All delegates are asked to wear your regional uniforms, the BLIA vest with your BLIA membership ID.
